My Top Ten Anime as of Aug 2010

Well..recently..I've been watching anime a lot and I guess it's fun to make some sort of anime lists about different kinds of themes or genres or whatsoever..haha..so through these..I hope I can help you pick what animes are nice to watch and worth your time ^^ (I can provide the site where you can watch it online since I frequently watch online rather than having DVDs..I don't have cable channel in our TV >P)
First, I am gonna let you know my
TOP TEN ANIME LIST as of AUG 2010:
~Not only because the illustrators are so famous (Takeshi Obata the illustrator for Death Note and Bakuman; Tite Kubo, the mangaka of Bleach; and Takeshi Konomi the mangaka for Prince of Tennis) BUT also because the quality of art, transition, music and the story arcs are really really amazing. I actually finished watching it before I discovered that this was made by famous illustrators..though I did have a hint Obata made the illustrations of No Longer Human story arc. Speaking of NLH, I know it contains matured and absurd psychological things but in showing the deep aspects out of a human mind, it was really nice and realistic.The rest of the story arcs are magnificent enough to the point that I wished I can be as imaginative as those writers who made them. The irony, realism, moral lessons, different perspectives~all of it was in here. No wonder it landed towards my list's top spot!

~fast paced and highly addictive..who won't like an anime that will keep you at the edge of your seat almost every moment? You will surely be hooked at it as soon as you finished the first episode.. whether you're a guy or a girl. Honestly, it's the first mecha-themed anime I ever liked! Also, the characters have unique personalities and character designs (courtesy of CLAMP), I love Lelouch because of his protagonist-antagonist attitude and skills.
The fact that the story has many twists with political issues that made it somewhat realistic and the mecha plus the Geass power that made it fiction,what can I say? It's really cool and unbelievably unpredictable.Watch it, you'll like it~!

3.Kaleido Star series~it's about a stage performer doing trapeze, gymnastics...all in one show! The characters esp. Sora-the main protagonist-are very likable! 
The graphics, music,transition and concept are very good. I learned to be more confident about myself because of this show...I idolized Sora for being so strong inspire all the hardships she faced..instead of giving up,
she gave her best and improved more
and more until she reached her dreams and those people who looked down on her and stepped down on her were now her friends and idolized her! You don't have to be a fan of stage acts or circus to love this anime!

4.Lovely Complex~ The best comedy romance anime ever! 
You will laugh your whole heart out!! You may not believe me but I tell you, I lent my DVD copy of this to my anti-anime friend (she often says animes are just for kids and she would prefer live action e.g. K/Jdramas) and after she watched it, she has changed!!
She became addicted to Lovely Complex in an instant and I found myself in her..haha..I remembered during those times I also chanting the names Otani..Risa..haha..! I sooo LOVE this anime! Try it!

5.Detective Conan~Who doesn't know it anyway? This one of the longest anime ever! =whew= I stopped at ep. 133 (it already has 560+ episodes and 13+ movies AND STILL ONGOING~!

6.Skip Beat!~The story itself is unique and you'll easily get hooked at it (it will make you follow the ongoing manga
adaptation as well)... The romance comedy factor is well-blended with the kind of plot they are making plus the characters are so cool! I KYOKOxREN!
The main theme is show business so expect more acting and singing skills in this show!

~This is a classic romantic tale that is both satirical and poignant in nature. The comedy part will make you laugh out loud 
but the sad,tearjerker part will make your heart break.
This is where (as I've said many times) I got my blogger name 'ayu' (ayumi yamada-with the orange colored hair) because I felt like I am HER. Though the art quality is not as flashy as the others, I tell you, this is a masterpiece.. one of a kind..

~the best tearjerker anime I've ever seen!(note that this is also a romance comedy anime..just imagine how brilliant it's writers are..)I cried many times because of this show!

9.Ghost Hunt~the only horror genre anime that entered my list! It's unbelievable but this anime made me scared a couple of times! Not only the sound effects but also the facial expression characters and proper lighting of the background are effective enough will make you frightened!
The plot is well-planned, the mystery factor is present, it's educational ( the characters often explain things, events or terms in relation with paranormal activities etc.)Interesting, right? Not to mention the gorgeous character designs and all~ So if you love horror tales, you'll definitely have to watch this!

10.BartenderThis might be unfamiliar to you but this is an excellent anime with a perfect story to give you a rest with all the stress you have in all in a day's work. It offers
lessons about life, relationships etc., beautiful art, realistic story plus the relaxing music, what else can you ask for..?
