Halloween is the time when we are in the mood for some terrifying movies, right? So here are some of the titles I've watched. Pick what you like to watch. The plot can be seen as you click for the title. (Btw, I still have dry cough, it's really inconvenient)

Title:The Ghost Inside (2005)
Country:Taiwan
My rating:
/

Comment: If it wasn't for Barbie Hsu, I won't watch it. I didn't see any good things about this movie. Too many unnecessary sound effects; not very original plot; trying hard in making this movie scary. It was predicting except for the little twist in the ending. But that plot twist isn't so magnificent to cover the entire failure of the movie. Even Barbie Hsu's acting is not really convincing here.
Country:Japan
Comment: Super scary. It will follow you in your dreams. I watched it at night and waking at the morning, I still can't get over it. It is a frightening experience to watch a documentary-type horror movie because it is really believable.(Even though it is a low budget film I believe) The reason why I can't give it a perfect ten is because of the corny 3D effect in the climax.
WARNING: Don't watch it alone!

Title:The House (2007)
Country:Thailand
Comment: The concept is being betrayed by your loved one. It was corny. 3D ghosts are annoying and the make up of the real girl ghosts are inconsistent, white face and brown neck?? Ridiculous! The story is predictable. You can watch it if you want to sleep. The only thing I like it is the generous amount of fake blood they spilled.(
I've read a review that it was inspired by true story of 3 horrible murders in the past, I just don't know if it was really true.)
Country:Japan
Comment: It is said that the director of this film was the one who directed my favorite Ju-on: The Grudge and The Grudge, but I guess those two titles are far better than this. Anyway, what I like about it is its enriched narration of the protagonist--his thoughts filled with madness, weirdness and depth. Basically it is not scary, just creepy. The plot is nice--only a little perverted in a sense--honestly I don't like seeing naked girls
even though it is not meant to be perverted. Negative things about it would be the unclear ending (or I just don't understand it) and the lack of sound effects--if makes it boring to watch.
Country:Korea
Comment: It an exciting film to watch. I always like plots similar to SAW where the casts are forced to participate in a game in order for them to live. The sound effects are pretty effective, I literally jumped off my seat out of fright because of the scary opening (it is very unusual for a horror flick to be so scary at the start of the movie, right?). The real culprit's identity was unpredictable. I just don't like the fact that it being so dramatic at the end.
Country:Thailand
Comment: Plot is creative and unique but not scary as I imagined it would be (since it is really popular). I am just glad the protagonist is the guy from HELLO STRANGER. Anyway, this could be scary if you watch it at the movie house, since basically the location of the film is on a cinema.
I will post more in my next post. Me and my siblings really like watching horror movies so I know alot of titles to suggest.:)
Labels: coming soon, death bell, marebito, noroi: the curse, the ghost inside, the house

Why BAKA USAGI?
BAKA USAGI (which can be translated as "
stupid rabbit")
I got it from watching 2 animes which I really enjoyed:
pandora hearts and
junjou romantica.
In the magical world of pandora hearts
, one of the main character is Alice which transforms into a black rabbit. She got the nickname from Gilbert Nightray whose always having petty fights with her.(~ ^ O ^)~?
In junjou romantica
, Akihiko Usami's nickname is "Usagi-san" and when he makes fun of Misaki of doing ecchi stuffs
with him, Misaki calls him "baka usagi-san". I always love those scenes where misaki blushes and fights over his feelings and totally denying it.
I personally
rabbit because they are cute and all. And t's okay for me to be called an
idiot. In manga and anime, being an idiot is a
cool and cute thing since you can start at the beginning being weak then slowly moving forward and becoming who you want to be.
I like to admit i'm an idiot--in dealing with things i don't know.
I guess it's okay to be an idiot as long as you know who you are and you know what's your purpose in life.
Why AYU?
AYU
I got it from the name of
my favorite character in an anime which taught me the
bitter and most hurtful side of love--
honey and clover.

Her whole name is
Ayumi Yamada.
A third-year art student, age 21 at the start of the series, specializing in ceramic arts. She is well-known by other students for her pottery and her nicknameTetsujin "Iron-lady" for running 6 km to school every morning to help her dog lose weight. She is depicted as a beautiful young woman, who catches the attention of her male friends and coworkers. Yamada is deeply in love with Mayama, but he does not return her feelings and repeatedly encourages her to find someone else. Later in the series, she is angered by Mayama's sudden protectiveness when he tries to shield her from his former boss, Nomiya. Yamada is close friends with Hagu, who addresses her by first name. At the end of the series, Yamada continues as a graduate student in art, while making pottery for Harada Design.(-x)
While I was watching the anime,
I could relate myself to her
that's why I started adapting her nickname "
ayu" as my pen name.
